As part of a broader founder update, Calgary Short-Term Stays is also noting a September 18, 2026 determination by British Columbia’s Director of Employment Standards concerning Manak’s former employer, Coast Capital Auto & Equipment Finance Ltd., part of the Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union group. The determination found four contraventions of the Employment Standards Act involving wage-payment deadlines, hours-of-work records and overtime pay.
The determination ordered Coast Capital Auto & Equipment Finance Ltd., a Coast Capital Savings Federal Credit Union group company, to pay $6,559.38 in wages, vacation pay and interest, plus $2,000 in administrative penalties, for a total of $8,559.38. The determination is subject to statutory appeal rights.
The employment standards findings concern Manak’s former employment and are separate from Calgary Short-Term Stays and its operations.
